CLASSES

'I started yoga about 12 months ago with Fern. A year on and I'm totally addicted. I blame Fern! She is a brilliant yoga teacher – she breaks down postures, ensures that your foundations are solid and challenges your body and mind. Her Rise & Shine (Tuesdays, 7am at The Honor Oak Wellness Rooms) class is a great way to start your day. You get a great physical practice but are also set up mentally for the day ahead. Fern is hands on and really listens to the needs of her class as well as pushing everyone to challenge themselves. If you're thinking about giving yoga a try or if you're an old hand at yoga but want a new and challenging teacher, I would highly recommend Fern.' SOPHIE ROBERTS

'I have been attending Fern’s flow classes for more than a year now: I loved her classes straight away. Fern has a natural talent in teaching yoga and she connects with her students effortlessly. She delivers her classes with clarity and care. Her Flow classes are dynamic yet mindful, with a balance between stronger sequences and relaxation. Fern creates a light and safe atmosphere in her classes that makes students feel open and at ease.'  KORINA TSIPOURA

'Fern was my first ever yoga teacher and, although I've tried a few other local classes in SE London, I can honestly say her classes are still my favourite! I was intimidated by the idea of yoga before I started a year ago, but Fern instantly put me at ease and made yoga accessible. I love that the class sizes are small, as it means Fern really gets to know her students and can offer one-to-one guidance. Each month has a different focus, which means we're continually learning new things and Fern always offers incremental stages, which means the class is great for both beginners and experienced yogis. Her early morning Rise & Shine class at the Honor Oak Wellness Rooms is the only thing I'd get up at 6am for!' SAMMY SMITH

'I have been going to Fern's classes for nearly a year now and highly recommend them. I feel physically stronger, have discovered new muscles and the classes give me the opportunity to become more aware of my body. Fern is a great teacher and really takes the time to consider what is going to benefit her students. She creates a unique sense of flow in her classes and I leave feeling calmer and that I have more mental space.' CLARE COWLEY

RETREATS

'Fern and Lynne created a magical weekend for us at the beautiful venue in Norfolk. Full of laughs, enriching yoga, grounding meditation and delicious food. The environment was cosy and warm with easy, like-minded company, time for walks in the beautiful countryside and space for yourself to think and process, and a beautiful flower arranging workshop on the last day. The yoga was varied and stimulating, challenging and relaxing in the right measures. Lynne and Fern’s teaching styles complement each other perfectly. Together with their infectious warmth and sense of humour this meant for a really perfect escape for body and mind. Can’t wait for the next one.' VANESSA ELEY

'I feel so refreshed and full of energy after a wonderful yoga retreat with Fern and Lynne. The weekend was really well planned and had a good balance of yoga, free time and delicious food. The variety of classes was perfect for those who tend to stick to one style of yoga, as it introduced new poses and techniques.  There was also an open workshop where you could go along and get advice on poses you were struggling with or wanted to improve on.  This was such an added bonus!   The venue was idyllic – a beautiful manor setting in Norfolk, with lots of land to roam around in between classes in the stunning converted barn.  I was absolutely recommend this retreat and will be looking out for their next one!' SAMMY SMITH

'The retreat with Lynne and Fern was great. They provided a really well thought out yoga weekend, their styles and knowledge complement each other and there was a lovely atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity for longer practices and the amazing food. I would love to go on another retreat with them so would highly recommend one.' CLARE COWLEY
