✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • You can start this course from 6 weeks post uncomplicated vaginal birth, or 6-8 weeks post-instrumental birth (or 3rd-4th degree tearing) or caesarean. You will need clearance from your GP or medical provider to begin. I’d also always recommend seeing a women’s health physio to assess your pelvic floor and diastasis, that way I can adapt the practices to your needs.

  • No! It’s never too late to put yourself first and commit to your postpartum recovery. In this course we cover the foundations of breathing and how your core and pelvic floor work, and learn how posture and alignment can aid core function. This will help you to progressively build full body strength so you can get back to what you love and to feel confident and more like you again. My mission is to empower you with the tools and knowledge to own your own healing.

  • A yoga mat and some blocks would be great. Bath towels and cushions also make fantastic props (as do pilates balls and pregnancy pillows!). Some props would be great but we can utilise what you have at home. I love Ekotex yoga for props - you get 10% off anything you purchase with the code FERN10.

  • Our live sessions on Mondays are 60 minutes long. They will all be recorded so you can catch up if you miss a session (or hit pause if baby needs you). There is also a library of shorter practices, from breathwork and mobility-based practices, to quick core + pelvic floor strengtheners, posture resets and flows. Consistency is key and little and often is magic!

  • This course is live-streamed and starts on Monday 6 October. You have until 24 hours before the course starts to cancel your place. Refunds cannot be given once the course has started. For full terms and conditions, click here.

  • Yes. This course has been created for those with pelvic floor issues and/or diastasis. Fern has lived experience of both diastasis recti and prolapse, and is trained to help postnatal women exercise safely. The course covers techniques to release tension, restore good breathing mechanics and ribcage mobility, and help you heal your core and pelvic floor via progressive overload and strength building. Please speak to your doctor or medical provider if you have any concerns or notice any worsening of your symptoms.

  • Yes. This course is suitable from 8 weeks post C-section recovery, with clearance from your GP or healthcare provider. We also have tips for C-section recovery and C-section massage technique videos from a wonderful women’s health physio within the course.

  • You have lifetime access to the material. However please be aware that course content may change or be updated, and the platform may change and adapt.
